The UNESCO Geopark of Haute-Provence

The UNESCO Geopark of Haute-Provence is a unique, authentic territory in the Alpes de Haute Provence. It covers 58 municipalities in the departments over an area of 1,989 km2.

It was the 1st Geopark in the world to be recognized by UNESCO. It served as a model for the creation of the 140 UNESCO Geoparks to be found today on the 5 continents.
