The small village of Venterol, on the border between the Alpes de Haute Provence and the Hautes Alpes, offers a magnificent Nordic domain on the forest tracks.
Lovers of wild nature, this domain in a natural environment on the slopes of Montsérieux between 1050 m and 1600 m altitude awaits you.
The Foyer rural de Venterol manages the cross-country skiing, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing trails. When the snow arrives, you are welcomed by the volunteers of the centre, which was created in 1983 and entirely renovated a few years ago.

The ski runs
50 km of marked and groomed cross-country ski trails are available on 10 routes. All levels are offered: two easy, two medium, two difficult and four very difficult trails!
From short loops, perfect for beginners, to long-distance skiing, including a 13 km itinerary up to the summit of Montsérieux at an altitude of 1596 m and a 550 m vertical drop.
Snowshoeing trails
Hikes for all, with 2 loops of 4.6 km and 5.8 km snowshoeing routes.
Welcome and rentals at the foyer
Access to the slopes is free!
You can hire equipment (skis, snowshoes, poles and even sledges) by the day or half-day.
Don’t hesitate to come and warm up with hot drinks available at the counter or in take-away cups.
The foyer is open Monday to Friday from 11am to 5pm and at weekends from 10am to 5pm.
How to get there
The foyer is located in the hamlet of Les Vivians at an altitude of 1060m. Special vehicle equipment is required.
