The Ubaye Valley Dairy Cooperative has been making and selling cheese and yoghurts since 1949, using milk from 10 local farms.
The cooperative has succeeded in developing its traditional mountain cheese expertise: its entire range benefits from the mountain appellation under the Chambeyron brand.
The cooperative has 3 sites:
– La Bréole, where fresh cheeses and yoghurts are made
– Barcelonnette, where dry cheeses are made
– The ripening tunnel (a former railway tunnel), where some of the cheeses are matured in a natural cellar.
You can find our products in our shops in La Bréole and Barcelonnette, as well as at the Maison de Pays in Jausiers.
