We make all our spirits in the Ubaye Valley using plants, specially chosen for their aromatic intensity, from this beautiful natural garden. “The subtle mix of the Alps and Provence.” That’s our USP!
In the heart of the Southern Alps in Haute Provence, the Lachanenche family distillery, founded by Nicole and Daniel Million Rousseau, produces liqueurs, aperitifs and eaux de vie. This small-scale production is accompanied by an agricultural activity growing red fruit (raspberries and blackcurrants) entirely dedicated to the production of intensely flavoured spirits.
Since the first cuvée of raspberry liqueur in 1994, they have taken their expertise to the next level, developing a range of spirits that reveal the incomparable aromas of plants, flowers and fruit from the Ubaye Valley.
Today, their sons Benoît and Jérôme Million Rousseau, both passionate about the world of spirits and local craftsmanship, take their turn distilling with the family still. They have made a name for themselves beyond the Alps, winning prizes in national and international competitions for their surprising, rare and authentic spirits, which magnify and combine the flavours of the Alps and Provence.
The Lachanenche distillery produces organic spirits, with no additives, extracts or colourings, made entirely from fresh fruit and wild plants picked in the surrounding mountains or organically grown.
The company’s philosophy is based on respect for the land, the environment and its partners, with the aim of offering you high-quality, clean products from a balanced local economy.
