Le Sauze is a great family resort in the Ubaye valley. This is the resort of champion skier Carole Merle resort and it has activities and events for all the family.

The carefully groomed runs provide a playground for all skiing techniques: alpine skiing, surf, snow-scoot, free ride, free style, telemark…

The ski runs

The 65-km ski area between 1,400 and 2,400 metres, offers runs for all levels: from wide “avenues” to mogul runs, there’s something to suit all tastes.

Amateurs of canyon, big air, box, rails… you’ll love the snowpark, boardercross and Kid Park.

You can ski in powder snow safely as some runs are left ungroomed but secure. Be careful of snow fall!

There are 4 high mountain restaurants for a well-earned break!

Night sport

In the evening, when the runs are closed or at nightfall, you can try a different type of skiing: torch-lit descents, night skiing, tobogganing, snake gliss and snowmobile for fun with the family and friends.

For families with kids

Logo label Famille PlusLe Sauze is Label Famille Plus approved and offers a multitude of formulas and services suited to children and their parents: accommodation, restaurants, activities, events and workshops, shops and services.

The day-care centre and its dedicated, qualified staff will take care of your children from 3 months to age 6.

A few ideas of activities to do with your family: a circuit of radio-controlled vehicles, a VIP run to learn ski safety, treasure hunts for a fun moment for all ages, two toboggan runs reserved for kids, fireowrks and torch-lit descents…. and a whole host of other events for an unforgettable holiday.

Snowshoeing

Blazed but ungroomed snowshoeing circuits for an open-air.activity for all.

Look for animal tracks or go on a bird-watching excursion with a mountain leader.

After-ski activities

For more sport or just relaxation, a 25-metre swimming pool to float or swim in and you might want to sign up for aquagym or aquabike.

If you’d rather be pampered, massage and beauty care can help you end the day gently, or you can relax in a sauna.

And for evening fun, there is a cinema, pubs and bars with themed evenings and restaurants in Le Sauze and also bowling and theatre in the valley…

Getting around

In season, a regular free shuttle service links the ski resorts and the villages of the valley.
